Why is honed slate only available in the standard selection ?

Honed slate ultimately begins as a natural riven slab; subsequent machining processes applied to the surface transform it into a honed slab.

Unlike natural riven slate, where two selection options are offered ie, standard and premium. Honed and indeed brushed slate uses the selection we class as standard.

The reason for this is because honed and brushed slate require greater variation in colour, tone and texture to show their character. If we used the premium selection we would lose the essence of what makes these finishes really "pop"
